Close Call to Condenser Crash

Just when we think we must be doing something right, a kick in the butt reminds us to be thankful for small miracles.

Miracle: Tuesday when Dad was trimming 1/8" from a small piece of molding with his mitre saw, the blade bound tossing the wood acrossed the room along with the broken saw blade, pieces of the exploded saw & narrowly missed cutting off a finger or two. Everyone ducked just in time. except Jory's arm took a shrapnel hit.

Ten hefty digits continue to stay in working order, thank heaven! One mitre saw, carbide tipped blade & prayer of protection used up.

Mess averted: Within 24 hours we discovered water dripping in our 34 year old tried & true freezer. Glad to transfer all the still frozen food to the small freezers in our two refrigerators, we called a repairman. $550 to fix the crashed condenser, it was decided to opt for a new one.

200 pounds of meat and food saved along with two, more or less, very valuable fingers.

Cost for saw, blade & freezer $1000; fingers priceless!!!
