The Wedding

Jory's wedding was Friday. What a great event! Everybody was there at the American Fork Temple. It was great outside: overcast and not HOT, but it managed to not rain until after the reception. Sarah looked beautiful and Jory was pretty cute too. The newlyweds are going to Cancun tomorrow. (I'm so jealous!) It was a great day! Congrats Jory and Sarah!

Shower Power

Jory & Sarah just wrapped up their final wedding shower. They now have more stuff than all of us put together, (Not!) but almost. Do you want to see the inventory? Just come to either parent's house, if you can fit in. They have:

Furniture: 2 couches, table w/4 chairs, coffee & end tables, big screen TV, dishwasher, bed, & many more things they've acquired over the years.
Food: Cereal, canned goods, cake & muffin mixes, condiments, baking necessities all being stored under Sarah's bed. If she gets hungry, it's not far to the munchies.
Appliances: Blender, crock pot, ice cream maker, mixer & Toaster to name a few.
Gift Cards: Maceys, Walmart, Target, DI & Home Depot.

We still have ten days until the big day. It feels like Christmas in June. Who knows what more they'll receive. What a blessing to have such great family, friends and neighbors. Make sure you get your thank yous written asap. It will feel good & leave time for other powers that may be out there.

Feathering the Father's Day Nest

Basically this is about how to ensure you get a shirt & tie for Jory's wedding given to you on Father's Day. That's correct!! But if you already have one, then a gift of your choice, instead of a lump of weeds.

Five ways in five days to schmooze your wife:
1. Fix dinner at least three nights this week & clean up your mess.

2. Ask not what your wife can do for you, but what you can do for your wife.

3. Be generous with back rubs..two or more may be required.

4. Fold the laundry..or even better..Do it!

5. Thank her more than once for doing all she does for you & the family.

This is a surefire way to get some pretty great Dad's Day gifts.

We got the ball out of Kade's ear!

Kade put a ball in his ear over a month ago. It was neon orange and was from a blow gun. It was slightly larger than a BB. After trying to get it out at home (& pushing it further in the ear cannal) I finally took him for an emergency visit to the Dr.. Here is part of our story:

Number of visits to a Dr. office: 4
Different Dr.s seen for the ball: 3
Total cost to remove ball (so far): $75
Number of people it took to hold Kade down to finally remove the ball: 3
Tears shed by Kade: Numerous
Learning to never put anything in his ear: Priceless

Brayle & Her Ballteam

Here are some fun pictures of Brayle with her ball team.
Hanging from the bars is quite a trick. Can you tell which one is Brayle?
Doesn't she look like a pro here holding the bat? She hit quite a few good ones, when up to bat and did a great job for her first year.
