Wise Words
Sharp minds gleaned many words of wisdom from the LDS General Conference talks in April. I copied some to use at the right time. Here is one with great advice about being careful where you go from President Thomas S. Monson. People ruin their lives every day by making poor choices. Listen to the Spirit telling you if what you are about to do is right or wrong. You will know. Make the best choice, then you will never regret it.

Bringing Up the Baby Shower
I'm am pretty belated in posting the baby shower pics for little Max Allan and mom. The decorations were so darn cute, I have to do it. Breann headed up the decorations, which included a miniature four-wheeler centerpiece, Japanese lanterns and garland. She also made cupcakes and sugar cookies. Alicia sent out invitations. Mauri and Brayle made their famous caramel brownies and chocolate chip cookies. I provided the house and of course healthy snacks. Julie baked three dozen fresh rolls for chicken salad sandwiches.

Our great family supported the effort. In addition to seeing Jory and Sarah's new baby, Max, they also met Henry. The two little boys were oblivious of each other. However, Henry did have fun meeting some of the other babies and young children that came with their parents.

Schmidt's Signs of the Times

Wheeler Farm and Utah State University has commissioned Allan to make dozens of signs for their new gardens as well as the entrance sign at Wheeler Farm. Foot bridges were also ordered. When they are installed we will take you on a tour of the gardens and signage. We know you want to see them.
Cousin Richard saw a sample sign when Al sallied up to his greenhouse to show them off. The similar signs will also grace the gardens of Schmidt's Greenhouses. This wood maker is becoming quite the expert at these timely signs.

Super Star's Locker
While attending a basketball game for Brayle, I happened onto this decorated locker that just happened to be hers. What a bright fun greeting it is for her each day.

Two Little Boys Meet
We now have three little grandsons, Joshua, Henry and Max. Breann and Henry came down for a few days to see baby Max. During a visit we were able to get these two young men together for a picture. Henry had just awaken from a nap and wasn't sure what to think about little tiny Max. After time to wake up and meet Max's dad, Jory, tears were spilt. It didn't take long for Henry to warm up to Jory and little Max sleeping soundly in his dad's arms.
What a joy it is to have all of our children be parents. These little ones are lucky to have such great parents. We are blessed to have such amazing children and grandchildren.
What fun it will be when these three little boys get older. I can imagine them jumping on the trampoline or finding lots of things to do together. This makes eight grandsons and four grand daughters.

Max Made Jory & Sarah Parents - Amazing
Max has arrived. He is early, beautiful and healthy. We thank the Lord. What a surprise to see a cherry blonde head of hair. His hands are similar to Sarah's and the nose is definitely from Jory. Some say he looks like Grandpa Schmidt. His chin resembles Grandpa Sargent. Then again you could say he has a little bit of all of us.
Mom & Dad couldn't be prouder with the big smiles and larger than life blessing that has come to them this week. Parenthood forty-eight hours in and still going strong. The best thing is that little Max slept all night after being born. What will the next eighteen years be like?
What a wonderful gift we have received, eleven grand children and all angels.

Measuring My Progress
Jenn made this measuring board "Miracles Keep Growing and Growing" and gave as a gift in 2005. We began to use it immediately and put it in a prominent place so any and all guests could put their current height on it. The earliest date I can find is May 13, 2005, for Kade Stevenson. I count at least twenty-five names having been here. We even have newborn babes and their growth over the years noted.
It is really fun to compare how tall each cousin is to other cousins at the same ages. Now it is time to mark Zero's and the Taz height since they have stepped up and appear to be waiting. We will continue the tradition when our little Max Schmidt is born in a few weeks.
