New to Us

After the search of a lifetime, I finally bought a sewing machine. I'm "sew" excited about it! It's a Pfaff expression 3.0 and I got some pretty great savings because I bought it on ebay, new rather than from the dealer. It is quite the machine though, and I feel like I have a LOT to learn. I have many projects in the works. Check out this super cute apron that I made. (It's reversible!)

Also, Jed and I have been looking for a four-wheeler for a little while. Well, we finally found the right one! We got a Honda Recon (it's a smaller 4-wheeler) for me to ride. Jed found a 1972 Honda SR-125 bike. (We'll see how that goes - I'm a bit afraid of riding bikes. I fell over on Jed's brothers bike last spring - because I can't figure out the buisness of shifting. It was a bit embarrassing!) There are a LOT of trails around Twin Falls too, so it shoud be a great weekend activity for us. After looking at these, I just can't believe how much money people will spend on a hobby like this! CRAZY! Come visit and let's go for a ride!

What's New In the Neighborhood?

After our clothes washer spewed oil all over the walls and floor, I had had it with the tempermental queen of clean. A week later we ran out of clean clothes and were forced to buy a new one.

Although we were 'just looking', the first place we stopped at resulted in our buying a front load Whirlpool Epic. The price was right. The numerous rebates helped us make the choice. It took a week before we could use it due to the 'HE' high efficiency rating. A low sudsing detergent is needed. It's pretty fun to watch it work & see how little water it uses.

Jenn needed new shoes. With summer on our heels, a fancy green designer pair suited her just fine. They will go many miles in her feet.

Dishwashers don't last forever (25 years). When the door fell off of Jenn & Mike's, they knew it was time to replace it. This new Fridgidair with all chrome interior and big family capacity, promises to keep them in clean dishes until the baby is a Young Woman. We hope!

What have you bought lately that you dare show us?

Kade's Wall.E Birthday

Kade turned five a few weeks ago. A fifth birthday party has to be super-iffic. Wall-E was chosen for the theme. Robots were made from boxes, with Jacob fitting in the smallest one. An Eve cake was the hit treat of choice. The party was at the park which included robot races, hot dog dinner, s bouncy house (courtesy of Mauri & Fed Ex) and lots of kids. We survived by the skin of our bodies when a cold front moved in to chill us all to the bone. Not another one until he is ten, we hope.

scoccer season

Noah & Kade played on the same scoccer team this year, for the simple reason that the younger child would keep the oler one focused. Past experiences have had boys lounging inthe grass when the ball came this way. Maturity & competition with siblings helps make the game more interesting. This was a fun year for Noah & Kade to play together.

Our view from the Goblin City

The trip to Goblin Valley was really great. It was so interesting to see what the earth can do. Erosion! We believe the earth has a sense of humor... It kept mooning us!

We call this. "Allan's Crack."

It was windy, it was cold, it was sunny, and it was a bit frightening, especially when Mom had to save us all from a falling rock!!

All in all it was a blast with yummy food and lots of fun memories. Wish you all could have been!

Finally! Pictures of our new casa!

Here it is! Jory's been working like a mad man mowing, fertilizing, popping dandelions the whole caboodle. He's done so great, and the lawn has remarkably been looking better day by day. It's so fun to have a home... and a yard! We are so grateful. A couple days ago, (just to show you Jory's dedication to his lawn...) he woke up at 5:30 in the morning to fertilize, (it was still dark, and i was still in bed) he said that on the box, the directions for the fertilizer said that it is best to fertilize in the morn, when there is dew on the grass. Oh what a cutie he is.

We are dying to see the Vawdreys new house, and at that, we want to see everyone else's houses too.

Enjoy!
