Zach, 365 Blessings Later
Zachary is ‘one year old’ tomorrow. He has given his family 365+ blessings, in that short amount of time. Every day they see his smiling face, hear that tiny laugh, observe his excitement over the smallest thing, clean up another mess, play peek-a-boo, gaze into those bright eyes, strap up the car seat, choose the day’s outfit, rescue him from danger, cuddle him as he sleeps and 355 other unnamed events, joy is found in each of those moments. With that heart full of joy, there is pleasure and gratitude that he is a healthy, happy, busy child blessed to be theirs by the Lord. Happy Birthday, little guy. May you have many, many more & be just as fun as you were, this first year of your life. (Alicia, will you post a picture of him?)

Alma Mater Turns 100
Bingham High School is officially 100 years old. On September 9, 2008, they will be handing out birthday cake to anyone that walks in the door. Dad & I will have to represent our 7 alumni for the occasion. We will let you know how it all goes and if we decide to donate money for a brick with our name on it. Happy Birthday, BHS, Some of us met out future husbands, enjoyed many a fun dance, had & hated the same teachers, performed in sports, plays & such, made many new friends, sang the same songs, learned many things, graduated and so much more in those halls. Thanks for the memories.
The Yard Sale Winner Is: Aaron
The much anticipated yard sale finally happened this past weekend. After four months of gathering, 8 weeks of promising, 7 days of staging and 20 years of collecting, I hauled all of the household rejected innards onto the driveway promptly at 9am. Dad (against his will, mind you) moved the bulky counter from the deck out as well. It was our bag & pay center. Cars began screeching their tires, pulling off the road and people appeared from everywhere, even before we could put our signs out. That was Brayle’s job.
At a birthday lunch with Mauri & Aaron, I mentioned the pending sale and Aaron jumped for joy as if he’d bagged an animal. I couldn’t back out this time. The DI drive w/trailer was at the church for backup on all unsold items. I also arranged to do a scrapbook sale of name brand things for $1 each, from a lady with a shop in Heber. I would get $1 credit for every $10 sold. I was committed this time.
The Grantsville gang pulled onto the lawn with a truck load of tools from their garage about 9:15am. That’s what brought all the men dickering back & forth with Aaron, just like an auction. He ended the day with $350 and two tools left to sell. The scrap booking was a hit with the top buyer spending $74 bringing in a total of $260. My cast offs netted me a measly $95. We loaded up the remaining stuff & took it to the church except for a few things for our next yard sale in 4 weeks. Aaron has lots more to sell.

Pill Popper
It's true; I've become a pill popper. Growing up I used to refuse to take anything -even for a headache! Now, I'll take a pill to solve almost any problem: headache, stomach ache, gas, you name it! (Okay, so I'm not really SOO bad as that) I've just found that in some cases, a pill actually WILL solve the problem. The above is what I currently take on a daily basis: 12 Asacol for Ulcerative Colitis, 40 mg Prednisone for UC, Lomotil (6-10 per day, depending) - also for UC, 1 multivitamin, 1 (Yaz -greatest thing for the acne in my life). I now will potentially start on Remicade (an infusion) or Humira (an injection) in the next week or so, I hope. I'll find out Tuesday what the verdict is on that.

Who’s Carin’ About Aaron?
This is an early birthday wish to Aaron because we are losing our internet tomorrow.
Yes, we signed up for the Qwest bundle thinking it lasted forever. The small print said otherwise & now it is over $45 per month. We can get that price anywhere. Not to worry we will go to the library, Aaron’s or Grandma Crane's.
Yeah, it is Aaron’s birthday soon,& good news he is still in the lower 30’s. Many changes are taking place @ his home with Mauri’s new job & the taxidermy business. He has had many calls and hopefully a healthy business will result from this. Since the bow hunt began this month, he has been busy stalking the wildlife. They have stayed under the radar so far, but it is just a matter of time before he bags a big one. This great dad, husband, worker, scout leader & hunter is keeping busy until then. Happy Birthday, may you be & do all you dream of and then some.
SO OLD SOLD!

Colonoscopy vs. Table, colon wins
I've got money going down the crapper - literally! I have to have a colonoscopy on Thursday to figure out just what on earth we need to do about my Ulcerative colitis. I guess that means that the table that I want is going to be put on the back burner for now. (I've been saving, but figured I'd wait until I knew what Jed's work situation for the future is - basically if there's any chance we'd move. Why buy a nice new table and chairs just to turn around and move them? What's the opinion on this set? I really like it - it's the style that I'd like to get. I need to see it in person, however.) Anyway, wish me luck on the liquid diet tomorrow and all of the other fun things that go along with this little look into the great unknown! (Does colon cleanse sound a little bit better?)
